Why "Groundwork" runs on deltapecan.com

Groundwork is the editorial name I write under. The domain deltapecan.com was registered separately as a memorable, easy-to-type address — the name "Groundwork" is what actually describes the site: the preparation work behind a pay conversation, before you ever sit down at the table.

I'm Elena Vasquez. I moved to the UK for work a few years ago, and this site grew out of notes I kept for myself about pay, negotiation and getting settled at work as someone who arrived without knowing the unwritten rules. It's a personal project, not a company blog — though it's published, for legal and advertising purposes, through 5 Ronin Media Ltd.

I'm not a career coach, employment lawyer or financial adviser, and Groundwork doesn't provide any of those services.
